Well another month has come and gone. I didn’t do a favorites last month because I really didn’t try anything new at all, but this month I have quite a few things to talk about. I love April, partly because its my birthday month, partly because I love Spring, but it was a good month. I am also finally in the home stretch of my internship, Clinical Rotations, so I’m feeling pretty happy but also stressed. My last favorite (spoiler alert: its gardening, spoiler alert again: apparently I’m 80 years old) has helped relieve some of that stress and keep me excited. Anyways, here are some of the things I’ve been loving this month…
Lush BIG Shampoo
I had a real moment with Lush this month. I don’t have a good bathtub so I don’t normally go into lush since I can’t buy bath bombs, but they redid the Lush in my mall and now there are sooo many other products! I’ve been wanting to try a nicer shampoo than the Herb Essence one that I normally use, so a friend recommended that I try the BIG Shampoo. Its in a little tub and made with sea salt, seaweed, and coconut oil, among a lot of other natural ingredients. This shampoo smells amazing and makes my hair feel so soft and voluminous. The sea salt does dry your hair out a little bit but that doesn’t really bother me because it just allows me to go longer without washing my hair!
Lush Cup O’ Coffe Mask
Another Lush purchase this month was the Cup O’ Coffee mask. I really don’t need anymore masks but one sniff of this one and I had to purchase it immediately. There are literally coffee ground it in and it is the most amazing this you will ever smell. The mask itself is nice and exfoliating, and actually a little energizing as well. Any coffee/mask lover definitely needs to give this a try.
Kat Von D Tattoo Liner
I’ve been wanting to try this liner for a while now but didn’t really feel like I could justify the purchase when my drug store liner works perfectly fine. So when I got a Sephora gift card for Easter it was the perfect excuse to finally give it a try. I’m so glad I did because I love it! It’s so easy to use and doesn’t budge. Dare I say it is actually kind of fun to apply?
I don’t know what it is but I’ve been obsessed with tacos recently. I just always want a taco. I think it all started with this restaurant review I did for Triangle Foodie Adventures. The restaurant I wrote about, Guacamaya Fresh Mex (aka Chubby’s), has been my go-to because its simple, cheap and delicious. I don’t really know what else there is to say about tacos so…
I recently wrote about my first experience making a pallet garden and since then I’ve been obsessed. I’ve actually had to stop myself from buying pretty much every fruit or vegetable in season because I don’t actually have any room for them. To give you an idea I’m currently growing beets, carrots, watermelon, zucchini, hibiscus, marigold, chives, nasturtiums, tomatoes, lavender, and jalapeños, in addition to my pallet garden. Sooo yeah, I went little overboard, but its so much fun! Now hopefully at least one of those plants is successful…
