I’ve already professed my love of subscription boxes with my Try the World Box Review so this review will probably come as no surprise. After seeing so many amazing looking food boxes, I’ve decided to get one of my own. I’ve been a Birchbox subscriber for over a year now, and as much as I love it, I have so many beauty samples at this point that I don’t know what to do with them all. So it is with much sadness that I’ve decided to cancel my Birchbox subscription and try Love with Food instead.

IMG_0176Love with Food is a monthly box filled with organic or all-natural snacks. What makes it unique to a lot of other snack boxes out there is that for every box sold, they donate a meal to a food bank. The Tasting Box, which is the box I chose, is $7.99 a month and includes 8 snacks. There is also a Deluxe Box, which is $16.50 and includes 16-20 snacks, and a Gluten Free Box, which is $19.99 and includes 10-12 Celiac safe snacks.

Since I have been really bad at procrastinating lately, I actually have 2 months worth of boxes to share. When you place an order for 6 months worth of boxes, they give you the option to buy one extra for a cheaper rate that will ship immediately… so obviously I did that.

Box number 1 included nine stacks (one of them being tea). All of the snacks were really different, which I definitely appreciated. As you can see from the picture above it had honey graham sticks (which were like graham crackers), fruit snacks, Biscoff cookies (yum), peanuts, a protein bar, tea, cheddar puffed corn, gluten free cookies, and a fruit roll-up type snack. I actually really enjoyed everything in this box! I like that a lot of them are kind of a treat, but still semi-healthy. All of the snack packs are fairly low calorie and have some sort of health twist to them. For example the cookies are gluten free, the fruit-roll up is all natural, and the fruit snacks were organic. I think my favorites were the Goodie Girl cookies and the Cheddar and Pepper Puffed Corn.

Box number 2 was filled with 8 completely different snacks. I’m not sure if the snacks ever repeat, or if Love with Food works with different brands each month. This month I got a gluten free cinnamon waffle cookie, green tea mints, a biscotti, black rice crackers, fruit snacks, a banana bar, coconut oil potato chips, and an oatmeal fruit squeeze. Now I haven’t tried all of these yet as I just received this box a few days ago, but so far I’ve enjoyed everything I tried. The green tea mints are surprisingly flavorful and the biscotti was amazing. I also had the oatmeal fruit squeeze and was surprised by how much I liked it. Those kinds of things make me a little nervous, but once I got past the strange texture it actually tasted really good!

Like Birchbox, you can receive points in your account by reviewing snacks and you can put those points towards buying snacks from their online store. Overall I really like this box so far. Its nice to get something different every month and try all of these new things! If you’re looking for a fairly cheap, fun, food subscription box I would definitely recommend giving Love with Food a try!
