Happy New Year!
I can’t believe its 2016. I feel like 2015 went by in the blink of an eye. Last year was filled with lots of ups and downs, so I’m pretty excited to start a new year. I can’t wait to see what 2016 brings! But with the end of December comes a December Favorites post. Here are some of the things I’ve been loving this month!
I’ve always loved Ramen, but unfortunately there really isn’t anywhere to get it in Raleigh (or so I thought). But my ramen obsession was kicked into high gear when I visited my sister in DC early this month and had some amazing ramen there. When I got home I was determined to find a restaurant that serves ramen in Raleigh, and I succeeded! I found a place called Sawasdee Thai and have been twice since. The ramen is sooo good and has been the perfect cozy meal for all the rainy weather this month.
QVC Beauty Advent Calendar
This year my mom got my sister and I beauty advent calendars from QVC and I think its safe to say it will be a tradition from now. They were so much fun! There were so many awesome things behind every window and it was so nice to have a little surprise every morning this month. The calendar had everything form It Cosmetics and Bare Minerals mascara, to perfume, to moisturizer, to blush, and tons of other things.
NEST Midnight Fleur Eau de Parfum
From the advent calendar came my next favorite. I’m really not a perfume person but I love this one. Its very warm smelling. Vanilla, with a hint of floral scent, but a little darker. I don’t really know if that makes sense at all but long story short, its really pretty. I actually ended up getting a full size bottle for Christmas!
I mean this is pretty obvious right? I loved the first season of Serial and it really jump started my Podcast addiction, so I was very excited this month when the second season of Serial began. We’re only a few episodes in but I already love it. I’m not sure yet if I think this case is as good as the first, but either way its so interesting!
Paddywax Pomegranate and Spruce Candle
This might sound dramatic, but I think this is my favorite candle I’ve ever had. I normally go for very sickly sweet candles, but I really wanted a more Christmassy one this month. I came across this candle on my trip to DC and fell in love. It smells like Christmas, but a little fruitier.
Those are just a few things I’ve been loving this month. I will definitely have lots of new things in my favorites come the end of January. I hope you all have an amazing new year filled with adventures, and of course lots of delicious food 🙂
